All my parties are 100% hands-on so no child is just sitting and waiting, it gives an action packed feel to the whole event. The emphasis is definitely on having fun but with some learning thrown in.
I do deliver some wow factor show elements, which are great for social media and really impress all those attending.
Of course, the star of the show will be the birthday child who will by appointed to the position of my Science Assistant, which means they get to join me and witness first hand all of the fascinating experiments and the wicked demonstrations.
What is even better is that no one leaves empty handed and will go home with fabulous science make and take-home gifts to treasure and will be a great reminder of how much fun they had at your child’s party
What happens at a party?
A 2 hour BeBoffins party typically runs as follows;
10 mins after the party start time (to allow everyone time to arrive) The fun begins with a collection wonderfully awe inspiring science themed games, challenges and fully hands on experiments, all of which involve the children and quite often the adults. This takes between 60/75 mins
We then stop for a break and some much anticipated party food. During this time I clear and pack away and set up ready for our final activities. After the children have eaten usually 20/30 minutes, we finish with some potion making activities or if preferred some rocket launching if weather and outside space allows.
This is a suggestion that works really well, but I’m happy to try and tailor and adapt my parties to a format or theme of your choice.
What does a party cost?
A typical two hour party in the Plymouth area costs £100 for upto 12 children and £8 a head thereafter, Parties outside of Plymouth will cost a little more to cover any extra travel and time needed. I cover areas in Devon and Cornwall as long as it is no more than an hour away from Plymouth.
Who are the parties suitable for?
Children and adults of all ages love our Science Parties but we aim them specifically for children aged 5 – 11. (It’s absolutely fine if you have a few children outside of this age range) They suit both girls and boys and are also great for children with special needs.
What do parties require?
You supply the party place and I’ll supply the fun. My parties work well in people’s homes or at a venue. All that’s needed is a table (I can bring one if required) and space for the children to sit/stand. Chairs would be ideal but are not essential
